Junior Football boys D8 champs

Congratulations to the Junior Football Team, who defeated the Resurrection Phoenix on Friday night. After a hard-fought battle and thrilling overtime, the team came out District 8 Champions! Thank you for an amazing season boys! Special shout out goes to the Bennies Cheer Team, who despite the cold, rocked Warrior Field and kept the spirits high for the crowd, team and coaches.

Are you looking for volunteer hours?

If the answer is yes, the girls' hockey team is looking for scorekeepers this season. Ne experience? Not to worry, we will teach you! If this is something you might be interested in, please stop by room 325 and speak to Ms. Buhlman.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with score keeping for our home wrestling tournament on Friday, November 29. If you’re interested, please speak to Mr. Jagas, Mr. Mendonca or Mr. Petricca if you missed the meeting.

And finally, calling all basketball scorekeepers. Do you need volunteer hours and enjoy watching basketball? If so, please drop by the math office next to room 310 at lunch time to speak with Mr. Krzysztofik for more details on scorekeeping junior and senior boys basketball teams.

Cross-country wrap-up

Congratulations to the St. Benedict Cross-Country team for their outstanding performance at CWOSSA! The junior girls placed an impressive 5th out of 39 teams, with Sophia I, Gracie M, Kaylin S, Emily V, and Orla H all finishing the 5-kilometer race in under 22 minutes. Special shoutout to Austin G for placing 4th in the para division and earning a spot to represent the school at OFSAA in Ottawa. Each athlete achieved a personal best—way to go, team! A perfect ending to a perfect season

The junior boys volleyball team finished their perfect season last week, winning District 8 gold against St. Davids. The team's impressive season included winning a preseason tournament at RIM Park, winning an invitational tournament at Paris District High School, and finishing their regular season with a record of eight wins and zero losses. It doesn't get much better than that.

The team hopes to continue their success at CWOSSA this Friday, November 15.
