Students at schools within the Waterloo Catholic School District will be asked to raise funds to assist The Bridges or to build “Tiny Homes”, through A Better Tent City, from November 1, 2023 – November 30, 2023. Tiny Homes will also be placed on each of our secondary school properties so students will have the chance to visualize the cause that they are raising money for.
Raising awareness about the important work done by A Better Tent City (Kitchener-Waterloo) and The Bridges (Cambridge), will also have a positive impact on both organizations and potentially lead to further recognition and fundraising.
Aside from working to provide shelter for underhoused members of our communities, these fundraising efforts will also align with our Catholic Social Teachings, which speak to charitable giving and help foster a society that reflects the principles of justice, compassion, and love for all, particularly the least fortunate among us.

An updated list is maintained on the calendar on the school website. To see the complete list go to Student Services, Guidance, Post-Secondary planning, and then click on the Post-secondary Visits tab.

From the librarian’s desk
A reminder to all students that large groups do not belong in the library. Our tables seat a MAXIMUM of 4 to 5 students. If your group is larger than that please find a space in the school cafeteria.
At lunch hour, please do not congregate in the library. Find a seat and if there are no available seats, this means we are at capacity. Please find another spot in the school, or go outside. Groups of students, standing and chatting will be asked to leave.
