  • Respect each other and always treat others with dignity. Talk to staff and other students in a calm, appropriate, and respectful manner. Positively communicate and follow directions of staff in the hallways.
  • 5 minutes out of the classroom should be all the time needed to use the washroom.
  • Same Floor means that students should be using the closest washroom to their classroom.
  • Washroom Expectations all students have the right to a washroom experience that is free from disruption, video recording, image capture, bullying, violence, vaping, smoking, etc.​ Students are expected keep this a safe place.

Community Service Hours

It is a requirement of graduation that each student complete 40 hours of community service. There are many opportunities to fulfill this requirement. Please visit the school website for links to community opportunities and a fillable form to submit their hours.

The Guidance Team would like to communicate regularly with students and parents about:
  • college and university visits - and bursary and scholarship opportunities
  • volunteer and exchange opportunities
  • available academic supports including homework club
  • convocation etc.
We have now moved to D2L and would like to make sure all students are able to access this important information.
When students sign in to D2L (through My Apps), they should land on the Bennies D2L page (see logo in yellow).
If, when students log in, they land on the WCDSB D2L page (see logo in yellow), scroll down the page until you see My Schools on the left and choose St. Benedict.
Next, are you taking an elearning course from another board? Please be sure to scroll down to My Courses In Other Orgs on the left - as this is where your elearning course(s) will be found.

Are you a grade 12 or 5th year returning student in Sept 2024?

Are you interested in a career in the construction sector?

If so, then maybe the Semester 1 Accelerated OYAP Level 1 Construction Craft Worker Program offered through LIUNA is right for you.

This program provides students with a unique opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience in the construction industry. It is designed to accelerate the apprenticeship process and provide students with a head start in the construction sector.

Application Instructions:

  • Interested (Grade 12 and 5th year students) are to visit their guidance counsellor to review the details and scheduling of the program.
  • Students must complete the online co-op program selection form – https://lf.wcdsb.ca/Forms/EXPLRN002F. Students are to select the Accelerated OYAP program then Union finally the Construction Craft Worker LIUNA program.
  • A central co-op teacher will reach out to all applicants for a pre-course planning meeting.
    • An OYAP form, LIUNA application and Aptitude test must be completed.
  • Interviews will be held by LIUNA on May 27th, 2024.
Applications for the program will be accepted until Friday, May 10th, 2024. We encourage all eligible students to apply and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

Varsity Girls Socceer Season Ends

As our season comes to a close, a big shoutout goes to the Girls Varsity Soccer Team for showcasing an outstanding display of tenacity! On Monday, we played in our final playoff game against St. Davids. Despite the challenges and setbacks, our team fought hard, showcasing incredible teamwork and unwavering commitment even playing short a player OR two, at times!

Special shout-out goes to our keeper, Zoe Brown, who made numerous outstanding saves! Make sure to congratulate them for a wonderful season! Great job Saints!

Rugby Girls continue to win

Last Wednesday, your Saint's Girls Rugby team was back on the pitch in another battle against the St. Mary's Eagles. Your Saints continued their undefeated season with a score of 36 - 5. Anita B touched down 3 tries, Mya H scored 2 and Eva M scored 1. Naveah H added to the total score with 3 well placed converts to finish the scoring. Players of the Game were Mya H in the backs and Leila M in the forwards.

Saints Rowers in Regatta

Huge congratulations go out to the Saints Rowing Club, represented by Luci Varriano Lane in Bow, Keira Gould in 2 Seat, Emma Hinchcliffe in 3 seat, Jadyn Morgan in Stroke Seat, and Mercidez Hall as Coxswain at the Mother's Day Rowing Regatta in St. Catharine's on Sunday! They battled through a tough start and persevered to gather together for a clean 1500m and finished strong! We wish them luck at their next regatta in 3 weeks!
