The Engineering Certificate Program is designed to provide students with the hands on, practical skills needed to be successful in several fields of engineering. By emphasizing academic achievement in science and mathematics, along with courses in technology to practice and apply the theory, and participation in robotics and/or e-car competitions, students will leave high school fully prepared for their post-secondary challenges.
Students must complete any 4 courses from the following list:
- TEJ3M – Computer Engineering Gr.11
- TEJ4M – Computer Engineering Gr.12
- TER3M – Robotics and Automation Engineering Gr.11
- TER4M – Robotics and Automation Engineering Gr.12
- TMJ3M – Manufacturing Engineering Gr.11
- TMJ4M – Manufacturing Engineering Gr.12
- TMM3M – Mechanical Engineering Gr.11
- TMM4M – Mechanical Engineering Gr.12
- TDJ1O – Exploring Engineering Gr.9
Students must complete 200 hours in one or more of the following after school clubs:
- FIRST Robotics Team
- Skills Canada Robotics Team
- E-Car Team
- Skills Canada Precision Machining
Students are highly encouraged to complete at least one senior level Math Course
Students are highly encouraged to complete at least one senior level Physics or Chemistry Course
