Congratulations to the Senior Girls’ Basketball team for winning the Eastwood Early Bird tournament this past weekend. The girls beat Great Lakes from Sarnia 40-38 in an exciting final. It was a great all around team victory. Way to go girls!
The Junior Girls had quite an introduction to the season as they started the tournament against a strong contender; Frontenac. With a small team of just 8 players, our Bennies girls worked hard to keep up, playing the majority with a point to point variance. A small injury with only 4 minutes left in the game, Frontenac grabbed a lead and was able to maintain it claiming the victory; 57-48. The girls are back on the court tomorrow at 9am to take on Assumption. If you’re available come out to JF Ross high school in Guelph and cheer them on!
