Dance – Introductory, Open ATC2OI

This course emphasizes the development of students’ technique and creative skills relating to the elements of dance and the tools of composition in a variety of performance situations. Students will identify responsible personal and interpersonal practices related to dance processes and production, and will apply technologies and techniques throughout the process of creation to develop artistic scope in the dance arts. NOTE: This course is available to students in ALL grade levels.

This course is intended for the student who is considering a career in a design related field. Understanding the concepts and medium of visual communication is its goal. Technical proficiency as well as creative problem-solving should be evident in their expanded portfolio of assignments.
