A call to prayer...

This Friday, March 21st, marks theanniversary of the death of St. Benedict. It is a time to reflect on his life and his deep commitment to prayer. As we also journey through Lent and Ramadan, we invite you to a Multi-Faith Prayer Circle in the lecture hall during both Lunch A and Lunch B this Friday. This is an opportunity to reflect and pray in a welcoming, multifaith environment. People of all religious backgrounds are welcome!

Grad Photos: Your last opportunity!

Just a reminder to graduating students to check if you have signed up for photos this week. Do not miss your appointment as this will be the last opportunity for grad photos at the school. Community Service Hours – for 2025 Graduates

It is a requirement of graduation that each student complete 40 hours of community service. There are many opportunities to fulfill this requirement. Potential graduates should submit their hours to the Guidance office as soon as possible, so it can be recorded for graduation. The WCDSB Community Involvement Activity Record can be found here.

Online Waiver Form – for 2025 Graduates

It is a requirement of graduation that each student complete two online learning credits. Parents/guardians are able to complete the online waiver form to opt out of these courses. If your student has not completed 2 online courses, please complete the online waiver form.

Athletics

Swimming Saints at OFSAA

Congratulations to the swimmers who competed before March Break at OFSAA against 2400 other swimmers from around the province.

Liam Bassin represented our school well in his 2 events and Aidan D'Oliveira did well with his events; qualifying for the finals in the 200 m freestyle. Hailey Murdoch earned 7th place in 100 m Backstroke and 4th place in the individual medley with a personal best time.

A great way to cap off a stupendous season with the swim team!

Boys Hockey are CWOSSA Golden!

The Varsity Boys Hockey Team Captured gold at CWOSSA in Elmira. Down 2-0 early in the first period, Damian L started the comeback with a power play goal. Hunter C converted a beautiful penalty shot goal to tie the game late in the Third. Michael M secured the first Boys Hockey CWOSSA title in school history by icing the game with the overtime winner. Lucas P was excellent in net for the Saints.The boys advance to All Ontario Championships in Windsor.

Volleyball Spring League

Our Saints Volleyball Spring League is back in action this Spring! This 5-week program is offered to any individuals in grades 6-8 who are looking to improve their volleyball skills! Throughout the 5 weeks, athletes will learn from our current junior and senior volleyball players who have varying degrees of skill and success at different levels. Each session will consist of skill work and games!
If you are interested in attending, please fill out our registration form ! Deadline is April 12th!

Do you have a green thumb or want to learn about how to grow your own food garden? Then come on down to room 107 on Wednesdays after school to join Benny's garden club! Every year we plant and maintain a food garden here at Benny's that helps feed our community and school. See Mr. Calhoun, Mr. Hodgins or Ms. Di Pede for more information. Hope to see you there!

Iftar party invite

Attention Bennies! Join the MSA for an Iftar party sponsored by Ace Shawarma and Boba Shack, with henna, carom, board games, and jeopardy on March 25th from 5:45 to 8:30 pm in the lecture hall. Note that there is an $8 entrance fee, payable by card only on Tuesday, the 25th, during lunch in front of the chapel or at the door upon arrival. All faiths are welcome. See you there!
