Bennies Buddies is a group of student leaders who work to create a warm and inviting experience for grade 9 students. Applications for the next school year come up in June.
Our mission is to empower and guide grade 9 students through high school. We are committed to being positive role models, sharing our school knowledge, and fostering community. By actively engaging with grade 9 students, we aim to enhance their awareness of school activities, provide valuable information, and create a welcoming environment. Through answering questions and offering support, we strive to make grade 9 students feel comfortable, included, and inspired to thrive in our school community. Bennies Buddies is dedicated to fostering connections, building confidence, and ensuring every grade 9 student feels a sense of belonging within our school family.

It’s Charles Dickens, ghosts, and Victorian England…at Christmas! What more do you need? How about Rose Tyler’s first trip back in time, and aliens masquerading as ghosts? Throw it all into the mix and you get 2005’s THE UNQUIET DEAD. Join us as we begin our Christmas celebrations this Friday December 13th, after school in room 226.

It’s down time for the 13th Doctor & her companions…but strange dreams and hallucinations begin to haunt their waking moments…and some deadly creatures intend to use this to escape their imprisonment. The insectoid Wirrn are ready to literally consume the survivors of the human race…and all that is standing in their way is the 4th Doctor, Sarah & Harry…but will there ingenuity be sufficient to save a civilization? - are pursuing post-secondary studies in the social services areas (child care, teacher, social worker, etc).
- attend a publicly supported secondary school in Ontario
- have demonstrated a commitment to their academic studies
- have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the area of peer helping in the school.
- have demonstrated leadership in one or more community organizations

DOCTOR WHO CLUB: Coming April 4th
Rose Tyler is invited to take her first trip aboard the TARDIS…and ends up in the far future, witnessing the destruction of the Earth…and a party to celebrate the occasion. She will deal with culture shock, a sudden emergency…and the PTSD of her new friend, the Doctor. Join us this week to watch as Rose takes her first steps into time & space in 2005’s THE END OF THE WORLD. Join us Friday April 5th, after school in room 226. We’ll also be holding our April Prize Raffle.
