Bennies Buddies is a group of student leaders who work to create a warm and inviting experience for grade 9 students. Applications for the next school year come up in June.
Our mission is to empower and guide grade 9 students through high school. We are committed to being positive role models, sharing our school knowledge, and fostering community. By actively engaging with grade 9 students, we aim to enhance their awareness of school activities, provide valuable information, and create a welcoming environment. Through answering questions and offering support, we strive to make grade 9 students feel comfortable, included, and inspired to thrive in our school community. Bennies Buddies is dedicated to fostering connections, building confidence, and ensuring every grade 9 student feels a sense of belonging within our school family.

Regardless of your field of study, scholarships are open to First Nation, Metis and Inuit who are members / citizen of a First Nation, Metis or Inuit community who:
● have applied for a full-time minimum 2-year program with an approved post-secondary institution for the next year of study; or
● are enrolled in, or accepted to, a full-time minimum two-year program with an approved post-secondary institution for the next year of study

Up to $ 70,000 over 4 years (20 Scholarships available)
Have you shown leadership in helping to make a meaningful and lasting difference in your community? We’d love to hear about your community leadership efforts and what inspired you to get involved. We’re more interested in the mark you’re making in the world than the marks you’re getting in the classroom. This scholarship program is open to student leaders with an average of 75% and up (outside Quebec), or a minimum R score of 26 in Quebec, who are helping to support positive change in their communities.
The TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are available to students who are helping to support change, nurture progress and contribute to making the world a better place, in their communities.
Criteria:
- completed application form
- 600 word essay (3 copies) describing community involvement and leadership
1 letter of recommendation from school staff member
2 letters of support from community leadership activities
