Bennies Buddies is a group of student leaders who work to create a warm and inviting experience for grade 9 students. Applications for the next school year come up in June.
Our mission is to empower and guide grade 9 students through high school. We are committed to being positive role models, sharing our school knowledge, and fostering community. By actively engaging with grade 9 students, we aim to enhance their awareness of school activities, provide valuable information, and create a welcoming environment. Through answering questions and offering support, we strive to make grade 9 students feel comfortable, included, and inspired to thrive in our school community. Bennies Buddies is dedicated to fostering connections, building confidence, and ensuring every grade 9 student feels a sense of belonging within our school family.

The 13th Doctor bring her companions home to present-day Sheffield…only to find an inexplicable infestation of GIANT SPIDERS is occurring. What does it have to do with American billionaire Jack Robertson…and how is the mom of the Doctor’s friend Yas involved in all this? Find out this week as we watch ARACHNIDS IN THE UK. The creepy-crawly adventure begins this Friday September 12th after school in room 226. All new members welcome.
DOCTOR WHO CLUB RETURNS on SEPTEMBER 5th!
Join us for another year of adventuring through time & space as DOCTOR WHO CLUB RETURNS on SEPTEMBER 5th. This year, we start with the 11th Doctor adventure DINOSAURS ON A SPACESHIP, and we will be holding the first of our MONTHLY PRIZE RAFFLES. All new members are welcome, so join us for adventure, pizza, prizes, and geeky friendship on Friday September 5th, after school in room 226.

DOCTOR WHO CLUB: Coming June 13th
Sarah Jane Smith, who traveled with the 3rd and 4th Doctors, has returned to her life as a journalist. In the midst of an investigation involving witchcraft and the disappearance of her Aunt Lavinia, Sarah receives help from a gift left for her by the Doctor: a witty robot dog with a nose laser. Join us as we close out another year with a viewing of Doctor Who’s very first spin-off show: K9 AND COMPANY. We will also be holding our final prize raffle of the year. The fun begins this Friday June 13th after school in room 226.

ReRun Donation Drive
Hey Saints!
St. Benedict, in partnership with all other WCDSB high schools, will be hosting a collection drive for used/new shoes and brand new socks to donate to our surrounding community.
The collection period will be the entire week of November 18th, and will be done out of the SAC office during both lunches. Please bring any old pairs of shoes that are in acceptable condition, and look into purchasing new socks, still in the package, to donate.
If our goal of 300 shoes is reached, our school will earn an additional civvies day!
Parents of our community, we are calling on all of you to help us; clean out your closets whilst supporting a greater cause.
DOCTOR WHO CLUB: Coming Nov. 14th
The 4th Doctor & Romana are vacationing in Paris…but unexplained time anomalies, a suave yet unusual millionaire criminal, and a bumbling detective all combine to make for an interesting stay. Join us this week for one of the titans of classic Doctor Who: Parts 1 & 2 of the 1979 epic CITY OF DEATH. The adventure begins this Friday November 14th after school in room 226.
DOCTOR WHO CLUB: Coming Nov. 7th
The captain of the Starship Pentallion has committed a terrible crime…but unless the 10th Doctor & Martha can resolve the situation in 42 minutes, the starship’s crew will pay for their captain’s mistake with their lives. Join us to see if the Doctor can save the day in the 2007 episode 42. The clock starts ticking this Friday November 7th after school in room 226. We will also be holding our November Prize Raffle.
DOCTOR WHO CLUB: Coming Oct. 31st
It’s Halloween at Doctor Who Club…and what better episode than to watch 2014’s 12th Doctor creep-tastic classic LISTEN. What happens when the Doctor becomes obsessed with an idea, just as his friend Clara is trying to have a first date with a fellow teacher? An adventure that will take them to the end of the universe…with enough timey-wimey terror on the way to fill a dozen episodes! Join us this Halloween Friday after school in room 226.
DOCTOR WHO CLUB: Coming Oct. 24th
Morbius, the Time Lord who once led a galactic rebellion, is still alive…but what threat can his disembodied brain pose? Find out this week as we conclude our viewing of THE BRAIN OF MORBIUS. Join us to watch the 4th Doctor & Sarah battle the returning evil this Friday October 24th, after school in room 226….followed by a BONUS MINI-SODE!
Homecoming!
This years Homecoming will be taking place on Thursday, October 16th in our own school gyms form 6:30 – 8:30 PM. 🪩 Tickets are $7 and are available to purchase on School Cash Online — however tickets are limited, get them while you still can! 🎟️
