Have you always thought that a pawn Shop was a place where chess players hang out? Have you seen Searching for Bobby Fisher 10 times? Well then do we have a club for you, Chess Club! Whether you are a new player or consider yourself a grandmaster all are welcome and encouraged to attend.

When we meet

Chess Club now meets every Thursday during lunch B in Portable 6. All students are welcome and all skill levels welcomed and encouraged to join!

DOCTOR WHO CLUB: Coming Oct. 13th

This Friday the 13th comes the perfect creepy episode — perhaps the most intense & creepy episode of the entire 10th Doctor era, and one that hasn’t been shown in Doctor Who Club since its debut back in 2008.  With Donna taking a break at a spa on an alien world, the Doctor joins a tour bus heading out into the planetary wilds…where he and his fellow passengers will face up to a terror they never imagined existed.  Join us this week for MIDNIGHT.  The thrills & chills begin this Friday, after school in room 226.

DOCTOR WHO CLUB: Coming Oct. 5th

This week, Doctor Who Club begins a month of creepy-themed episodes — a perfect 4 weeks for Halloween.  To begin with, we join the 11th Doctor, Amy & Rory as they are forced to experience what happens when broken Daleks are discarded…plus the surprise introduction of a future TARDIS traveler.  Join us this week for ASYLUM OF THE DALEKS.  Remember that, due to Friday’s PD Day, we will be meeting THIS THURSDAY, after school in room 226.  We will also be holding our October Prize Raffle.

1 Nominee from St. Benedict chosen. Nominees from each secondary school are invited to apply for the National Scholarship.

Please submit to guidance:

– resume of extra-curricular, volunteer, leadership activities and the name of 1 teacher reference who can be contacted by guidance

Please adhere to the due date above, so that the submission to U of  T can be completed by their deadline,  October 12, 2023.
