Tom Tittel Memorial Award: those pursuing social services field

Tom Tittel Memorial Award:

Value: $250

Due Date:  April 28th, 2025

Criteria:

  • are pursuing post-secondary studies in the social services areas (child care, teacher, social worker, etc).
  • attend a publicly supported secondary school in Ontario
  • have demonstrated a commitment to their academic studies 
  • have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the area of peer helping in the school.  
  • have demonstrated leadership in one or more community organizations

DOCTOR WHO CLUB: Coming April 4th

Rose Tyler is invited to take her first trip aboard the TARDIS…and ends up in the far future, witnessing the destruction of the Earth…and a party to celebrate the occasion.  She will deal with culture shock, a sudden emergency…and the PTSD of her new friend, the Doctor.  Join us this week to watch as Rose takes her first steps into time & space in 2005’s THE END OF THE WORLD.  Join us Friday April 5th, after school in room 226.  We’ll also be holding our April Prize Raffle.

Say Hello to the Bennies Art Contest!

Theme: Conflict

Do you like making art? Painting, sculpting, drawing, or something else entirely?
This contest might be for you!
What you’ll be doing:
  • Create an awesome piece fitting the theme and showing your artistic mastery!
  • Submit preliminary work showing your process!
  • Your work will be evaluated anonymously by judges.
Say hello to the mascot, Zazu!
Zazu is an abstract character who loves contrast, shapes, and clashing them together!

Prizes

9/10 Group:

1st Place: $50 + other goodies!
2nd Place: $25 + other goodies!

11/12 Group:

1st Place: $50 + other goodies!
2nd Place: $50 + other goodies!

Deadlines:

April 7th – Preliminary Work Due
May 20th – Final Work Due
