This course prepares students to make successful transitions to postsecondary destinations as they investigate specific postsecondary options based on their skills, interests, and personal characteristics. Students will explore the realities and opportunities of the workplace and examine factors that affect success, while refining their job-search and employability skills. Students will develop their portfolios with a focus on their targeted destination and develop an action plan for future success.

Servant Leadership IDC4UX
This course will help students combine the knowledge and skills from different subjects and disciplines related to the study of leadership. Through individual and collaborative inquiry and research, students will analyse the connections among diverse subjects and disciplines; develop information literacy skills in analysing, selecting, evaluating, and communicating information; and become aware of a variety of resources and viewpoints on leadership issues. They will also examine their own learning styles, relate their inquiries and research to real-life situations, and investigate leadership opportunities in new disciplines.
This course will introduce students to leadership theories as they pursue leadership roles in the school and community. Students will study and apply theory in developing skills in the areas of conflict resolution, planning and goal setting, problem solving, group dynamics and teamwork. Students will develop the skills and knowledge to support them in pursuing a variety of leadership roles. Participation in school leadership opportunities in the form of Student Council and Link Crew will be the primary application of these skills.
