DOCTOR WHO CLUB: Coming May 1st

It’s the early 19th century. We will watch The 6th Doctor vs The Rani vs The Master in a 3 way battle of egos and ideas…with the fate of Earth’s Industrial Revolution and potential future in the balance. Join us this week for Part 2 of the 1985 adventure THE MARK OF THE RANI. The battle begins this Friday May 1st after school in 226. We’ll also be holding our May Prize Raffle.

We go back to 1985…the 6th Doctor & Peri arrive in the early 19th century. The Industrial Revolution is booming…and a mysterious woman is taking advantage of the situation…a woman the Doctor knows very well. Return with us in time to see the introduction of the villainous Rani in Part 1 of THE MARK OF THE RANI. The adventure begins THURSDAY (due to the PD Day) April 23rd after school in room 226.

Criteria:
– demonstrate acceptance of an offer of enrolment in a post-secondary program
– indicate the name of the program of study
– enrolment in a Cambridge secondary school for at least three years
– academic achievement of over 80% in the final year of high school
– evidence of community involvement and participation in extra-curricular activities
– explanation of how the scholarship would be beneficial

Join us this week to find out in ONCE, UPON TIME. This temporal trip to end all trips begins this Friday April 17th after school in room 226.

Our goal is to help build a more diverse healthcare workforce.”
Award: $1,500: Up to 10 (ten) awards available.

Eligibility:
- Is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Identifies as Black, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQIA+, a person of colour, and/or a person with disability
- Lives in the Waterloo Region (includes Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich)
- Is enrolled in full-time or part-time health-related studies as of September 2026 at a Canadian post-secondary institution recognized by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada

OECTA Waterloo Bursary Program: 2026
Due date (to Guidance): May 8, 2026
The main purpose of our program is to provide financial assistance to our graduating secondary students who are continuing their education. All students completing their studies at any Catholic Secondary School in Waterloo Region may be eligible to submit an application.
All awards will be made based on the expressed financial needs of the students and within the financial limitations of our Waterloo Unit.
