Champions for Change2019-09-03T18:36:33-04:00

When you think about obstacles and opportunities in your life what comes to mind? Money? Education? Who you know? Where you live? All those things can have an impact on the kind of life we live, but, girls also face certain obstacles and stereotypes just because they’re girls.

Champions for Change Club supports the “Because I am a Girl” global initiative to end gender inequality, promote girls’ rights and lift millions of girls – and everyone around them – out of poverty.

Through the Champions for Change Club we’re going to explore different issues that affect girls and women here in Canada and around the world. By understanding these issues, we can take action, make a difference and show the world that being a girl matters – for hope, for power, for positive change. If you are interested in being a Champion for positive change in the world please attend the first club meeting at lunch, on Tuesday, September 10th, in room 123. Bring your lunch with you. Mrs. Kot and Ms. Stockie look forward to seeing you there!

Are you a Champion of Change? Do you believe in equality for all, no matter what your gender is? Do you want to see and be a part of positive change in the world? If so, please come out to Room 123 on Thursdays for the “Champions of Change Club” that works in support of the “Because I am a Girl” movement. Champions of Change Club

This club is about gender equality, raising awareness of the plight of girls and boys here at home and around the world, the lack of access to education and food for girls in many cultures, and how both girls and boys need to be part of the equality solution! Girls and boys welcome! We meet every Thursday at lunch in room 123.
