When you think about obstacles and opportunities in your life what comes to mind? Money? Education? Who you know? Where you live? All those things can have an impact on the kind of life we live, but, girls also face certain obstacles and stereotypes just because they’re girls.
Champions for Change Club supports the “Because I am a Girl” global initiative to end gender inequality, promote girls’ rights and lift millions of girls – and everyone around them – out of poverty.
Through the Champions for Change Club we’re going to explore different issues that affect girls and women here in Canada and around the world. By understanding these issues, we can take action, make a difference and show the world that being a girl matters – for hope, for power, for positive change.

DOCTOR WHO CLUB CHRISTMAS: Coming Dec. 22nd

It’s Christmas once again in Doctor Who Club, and what better way to celebrate than to eat pizza, give out presents, and watch the 11th Doctor battle carnivorous snowmen and (literally) an icy dead governess…while at the same time encountering a familiar face in midst of Victorian yuletide. Join us for THE SNOWMEN this Friday, after school in room 226. Ho ho ho!
