OECTA Waterloo Bursary Program: 2024
Due date (to Guidance): May 6, 2024
The main purpose of our program is to provide financial assistance to our graduating secondary students who are continuing their education. All students completing their studies at any Catholic Secondary School in Waterloo Region may be eligible to submit an application.
All awards will be made based on the expressed financial needs of the students and within the financial limitations of our Waterloo Unit.

Carol Shantz Bursary Award – Kidsability Foundation
Due Date: April 26th, 2024
Value: $1000
- must have a life-long disability
- must be a client or alumnus of KidsAbility (formerly Rotary Children’s Centre)
- must have applied to or returning to a certified post-secondary institution (college/university)
- application form includes short essay component
Reminder!! Schulich Leader Scholarships: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math
Up to $120,000
due date extension: now, January 24th, 2024
Criteria: (must meet at least 2 of 3)
- Academic Excellence
- Community, Business or Entrepreneurial Leadership
- Financial Need
- Pursuing career in STEM; programs in biology or medical are NOT accepted
- Submit email address, 2 letters of reference to guidance, 1 page summary of leadership/community involvement
